Senior: Amie {dallas senior photographer}

This is going to be a BIG and important post because I feel like I took my photography to the next level. Every photographer sets his/her personal goals of what they want to achieve, new thing they want to try. Be it new locations, posing, lighting or post processing. In each of these categories there were some things I've always wanted to do different or better. For the longest time I wanted to shoot a ultra-modern & fashionable senior session to use for my studio website. I imagined the pictures to look like a fashion spread in a teen magazine. I also wanted to get out of my comfort zone of shooting mainly in the shade and instead try the trendy back light & sun flare. On my list as well was the use of different lenses to create a smaller depth of field. And last but not least I had my eyes on a new set of actions to use for my editing. Now I just needed the right model and when I came across Amie on myspace I felt like the last missing piece was found. Everything just magically fell into place. We shot her session wandering around Fort Worth on a windy but sunny day, trying all sorts of new things.. I really could not be happier with the result. Hope you enjoy..

Kids: Kelsey & Connor {dallas child photographer}

When people ask me what I like to photograph most I used to always say: KIDS!! Lately I started noticing that my favorite thing in the world are session with 6-10 month old babies. They melt my heart. Every picture shows a different side, a new expression. I just absolutely love their little giggles and pouty faces. And what makes the shooting perfect? A silly hat of course!! Below are pictures of another sweet baby girl & her brother Connor, who is quite a heartbreaker himself :)

Caleb just turned one year and I could not believe how well he was walking and climbing up stairs all by himself! Don't you just love his little red mohawk??

mom to be: Brenda {dallas maternity photographer}

I loved shooting Brenda's maternity pictures. She's just so beautiful. Today I actually took her little son's Burke's newborn pictures which will be up soon. And yes, he's got his mom's adorable red hair :)

Sneak Peak: Miss Amie

For this year's Senior season I wanted some new fresh and fashionable pictures in my portfolio and for a while I was looking for the perfect girl to model for me. By total accident I came across Amie's myspace profile and instantly knew she was the one. She's got great style, the face of an angel and the coolest hair ever! So yesterday we got together in Fort Worth to shoot at some cool and inspiring locations. Here's a sneak peak. More to come soon!!

Babys: Audrey {dallas baby photographer}

Too cute for words!!

Audrey is one of those babies that makes you without a doubt want to have one too. Her big blue eyes, pouty lips and happy personality made my heart melt... I had a hard time choosing my favorites so I hope you don't mind me posting a lot :)

I know - that's exactly what I mean!!

That's when she lost interest (still adorable right?)

I tell all my customers that the best age for newborn pictures is the first week after birth and the best time for baby photos between 6 and 8 month, when they can sit up but not crawl yet. Audrey was 8 month when we took these.

One last thing for my fellow photographers out there: All pictures where taken at my studio using only available light...
