Engagement: Reshawn & Rob {dallas wedding photographer}

I had an awesome e-session with these this wonderful couple last month. Not only are they sweet, good looking & very in love but they were also down for any of my ideas. It's hard to decide which pictures to blog because I have so many favorites...

Business: Custom packaging

I realize more and more how important marketing and branding is for my studio. More than ever I make sure that I incorporate the clean modern white Squaresville style with the orange logo in everything that leaves the studio. It just makes it that much more professional. One piece that was always missing were Squaresville stickers. My friend Andy from Radical Promotions printed me these below. I can use them as shipping and/or CD labels and they helped turning a simple cake bag into a customized Squaresville photo bag that I needed for pictures for a local dance studio.

Be sure to check out Andy's website. I absolutely adore his creativity & his business that he successfully put together at age 21!! He offers anything from business cards to T-Shirts, Stickers, Buttons... and he wraps cars as well!

Wedding: Mark & Wendy {destination wedding photographer}

I love me some destination weddings. This time I went to Sin City to shoot Wendy's & Mark's wedding at the Luxor Hotel. Besides having to get up at 4 am to go to the airport everything was perfect. I got to Vegas early on Friday and had enough time to get my equipment ready, scout out locations and rest for a little bit. That night I went out with the girls around town, celebrating Wendy's last night as a bachalorette. We ate at Diego's at the MGM and ever since I am hooked on fresh guacamole with lots of cilantro. At 4 pm on Saturday I met up with Wendy to take her getting ready pictures and all that good stuff before heading to the wedding chapel at 7 pm. It was a moving ceremony followed by an intimate dinner party at the Dollhouse. What a wonderful day!!

Sunday we shot my favorite session: The Day After/Trash The Dress Session. Whenever I shoot a destination wedding my clients recieve this session for free as a little bonus for flying me in. The coolest thing about these sessions is that I get to shoot some of the most awesome clients at some of the most incredible locations on the planet and all that absolutely stressfree. For Wendy's & Mark's Day After Session I suggested the "Neon Graveyard" in Las Vegas. This place is to cool for words. Special thanks to the enthusiasts that put so much love and effort into preserving these lovely relicts of Las Vegas history.

Well, right after shooting this amazing session I headed home, had some delicious asian food at Nandina's & slept till about 2 pm the next day :)

On to the pictures: I had a hard time picking my favorites so consider yourself warned about a blogpost-explosion...

This year I have been working my butt off to design & make new marketing pieces for my studio. Let me tell you, it's not that easy if you are trying to do everything yourself. But, my new brochures are done and I'm happy that I can scratch one more thing off my list.

Personal: My favorite Food EVER!!

Some of you may know but most of you probably don't: I have been a vegetarian for more than half my life (15 years) and eat vegan since 5 years now. I love animals and would never do them harm. Period. Because I love them, I don't eat them. Seems pretty logical & simple to me but for most people I am still some kind of freak. Oh well. Over the years I've gotten used to it :)

I know it's sometimes hard to find yummy vegan food out there so here's my suggestion:

SUMA VEGGIE CAFE

Every Monday night my husband, I and some of our friends go to Sumas. It's our favorite restaurant in Dallas. The food is delicious and inexpensive.

Here are some picture of some of the food we usually eat:

Spring Rolls

Hot & Sour Soup

Orange "Chicken"

Potato "Chicken"

Rice Noodles with "Beef"

Also try: Family Style Tofu, Beef & Cabbage, Dumplings, Triple Delight (vegan Fish) & Sesame Chicken.

Soups are $4-$5 (a small soup is enough for 3-4 people), Entrees are about $8. Lunch Buffet for $7 is Mondays-Fridays 12-2pm and all day Saturday. Every last Sunday of the month they offer a free buffet.

See more of my restaurant suggestions for vegetarians in the Metroplex on my yelp. Click here

Baby: Londyn {dallas baby photographer}

Still trying to catch up with all my sessions that I haven't blogged yet. This is Londyn. Isn't she the cutest little button? I love her smile in the first picture. Soooo adorable!!
