I know this blog post has been way past due!! Especially now that my new picture gallery is hanging it's about time to post some pictures of my studio. This wall filled with my favorite pictures from the past 3 years makes me happy in my heart and I really feel like it perfectly represents the style & spirit of my business: bright, colorful, modern and fun! Kids: Tallulah Belle {dallas child photographer}

Sweet Tallulah Belle. I just love shooting with her. She's got the most precious eyes and innocent smile and there is always a touch of melancholy on her face. Her mom wanted tons of color in the pictures and we decided to shoot at the Arboretum during 'Dallas in Bloom'. The overall greens and pinks worked perfect with Tallulah's adoring little OiLily dress (notice the wings on the back of the dress!). Love it!

Baby: Van {dallas baby photographer}

Yall know I love me some babies and Van is definitely that kind of baby that just makes you go awwwww and oooooohhh and omg he's so cute!! He is such a happy little baby boy. I could eat him up!! Needless to say I had a lot of fun taking his pictures :)

Senior: Morgan {dallas senior photographer}

Most of you will remember Morgan since she is the girl that just won our first POTM - Picture Of The Month contest. Now it's time to post the rest of her pictures :) She requested a more classic look as well as less urban and more nature for her senior session. So we shot at the Chandor Gardens in Weatherford.

Booking for May/June

I just wanted to remind everyone who is interested in a session with me to get in the book before the Texas heat in July/August makes it super uncomfortable to shoot outside. I am practically booked every Saturday in May already except for May 16th. If you would like to save that date for your session hurry up and book now. Several spots on weekdays are also still available.

Kids: Maddie & Cameron {dallas child photographer}

Words cannot describe how lucky I feel that I have this awesome career. Deciding to become a professional photographer was one of the two best decisions I have ever made (right there with marrying my husband of course!). And wow am I being rewarded this year with the most awesome clients and kiddos ever! Maddie and her cousin Cameron are no exception. Usually I am pretty nervous when I book a session with a 2 year old. Simply because I find it the toughest age. And I know most of you parents agree :) Well, this session thought me different. These two were awesome, uncomplicated and happy as can be.

Newborn: Burke {dallas newborn photographer}

Oh what a heart breaker Burke is! I love his red hair. Soooo cute!! By the way I've started to
take Mommy and baby pictures at all my newborn sessions. I came to really love the skin on skin type pictures a lot, especially when the baby is still very little...

Life is art

I just added an "How To" inspire guide for wall displays to my website. You can see it on the client proofing section by clicking on the inspire guide picture. All future clients will have this feature added to their online gallery filled with their individual pictures.

POTM - Photo Of The Month

Recently the empty white walls at my studio really started to bother me. Well, I have had 9 of my favorite kids pictures hanging there but it was time for an update. And most important of all, it was time to add some baby, senior and families pictures to the gallery. So I went ahead and ordered 12 more big 'ole prints. Most of them 24x30 plus some in 16x20. Since I've never been a big fan of frames I got all my prints mounted on foam bord and just put them on a tiny ledge that's screwed into the wall. Let me tell yall - it looks pretty awesome :)

So while I was arranging my new beloved pictures I've had the idea for the 'photo of the month' contest.

Here's the deal:

Each month I will be posting my favorites from all sessions of the previous month. You get to vote for your Number One by using the pole below. The winning picture will be displayed on my studio walls for one month and then be given to the contest winner. That means that person or family will receive a free mounted 16x20 picture for their home!!
